Description
The iO HVAC Controls FP18-BZD-MOTOR is a field retrofit kit designed to replace aging or failed BZD Hansen actuators on both BZD-XX round and BZD-XXXX rectangular zone dampers. The kit includes a direct-coupled, non-spring return 24V actuator along with a damper shaft coupling, allowing technicians to swap out the original Hansen actuator assembly without replacing the damper itself. Installation involves removing the existing Hansen actuator, tagging and re-landing the Common, Power Close, and Power Open wires, and securing the new actuator using the included anti-rotation pin and shaft coupling. The actuator provides smooth, reliable floating point control once installed, giving contractors a straightforward path to modernize legacy Hansen-equipped damper systems in the field.
